The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Yashavantrao Chavan Institute of Science, Satara (Autonomous) is established on June, 2001. The IQAC is located in the Room No. G-2-3, the second floor of G Building. The Director of YCIS, Dr. B. T. Jadhav is the Chairperson and Dr. Jaykumar J. Chavan, Assistant Professor in Botany and Head, Department of Biotechnology is the Director of the IQAC. The IQAC Committee includes all stakeholders of the Institute, members of the Management and Administration, and members of local community and industry experts. The IQAC stimulates the academic environ for promotion of quality of teaching-learning process and research in the institute. This is reflected in the various grants received by the institute. IQAC encourages the departments for innovations and best practices



To ensure quality culture as the prime concern for the Higher Education Institutions through institutionalizing and internalizing all the initiatives taken with internal and external support.
  • 1) To develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.

  • 2) To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.

  • 6) Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles

  • 4) Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning
